It includes a comprehensive listing of an individual’s educational and professional history, publications, and other achievements. A resume, on the other hand, is a shorter document that summarizes a person’s work experience and qualifications for a specific job or industry. It is typically used when applying for non-academic or non-research-related positions.

Resumes are usually one or two pages long, while CVs can be much longer, especially for those with extensive experience or education. It is also worth noting that CV format can vary depending on the field and the country, while Resume format is more standard.

A resume in the U.S. is a targeted marketing document that is customized to a particular job, company, or industry. Employers want to see achievement-based statements and how you’ll benefit their team.
Companies in South Africa need to be able to verify a job candidate’s BEE/affirmative action status. Therefore, it is required that you provide your ID number and ethnicity.
